How can I add medicine to the consultation?
There is a link called “Add medicine” below the “Medicine(s) given” text box. Once you click it will open a pop-up box where you can type in the medicine and select it from the dropdown list.
The medicine I provided is not showing up on the dropdown list.
Type the name of the medicine or just part of it and type the dose so you can see a filtered list. Wait until the page loads the list. Click on the medicine to select it.
How do I add complaints?
You need to click on the link “Add presenting complaint(s)” below the “Presenting complaint” text box. Select the complaints by ticking the square boxes and/or type an unlisted complaint. Click “Submit to add”.
Why I am not seeing the patient under the 111 NHS referrals?
Click on the link “View All” under “Referrals” on the top left-hand side of the screen.
My page is not loading properly. What is wrong?
If you are accessing the CPCS with Internet Explorer browser, try to access with another browser like Chrome or Firefox. If the problem continues, log out and login again.
How do I access CPCS?
There is a link on your Sonar account under the NHS Services, called London CPCS. Click the link to be redirected to the CPCS platform.
How do I get referrals?
The patient will dial 111 and if the case is a minor illness, he/she will be forwarded to the nearest pharmacy.
How do I know when I get a new referral?
The notifications of new referrals will come to all the emails provided when you have registered to CPCS.
What if a patient is not coming to the pharmacy anymore?
If you haven’t finished a consultation for whatever reason, click on the patient’s name and then click “Unable to complete” and select the reason for closing the consultation.
How different pharmacists will access the CPCS on my pharmacy?
Each pharmacist will log into their Sonar account and access the London CPCS link through their Sonar. If they have added your pharmacy to their Sonar account, they will be able to access the referrals sent to the pharmacy.
What should I write on “Clinical Narrative”?
If you have made a clinical record or examination or other relevant notes, include them under this box.
What should I write on “Actions taken to date”?
If the patients have been taken some medicine or done something by themselves regarding to the illness, include it here.
I can’t find the patient’s record when adding a new record. What do I do?
If the search did not produce any results, you must input the patient’s details manually. Click continue and fill in the form.
How do I view the summary of a previous consultation?
Click on the square box next to the patient’s name and then click “View Record” on the blue bar on top of the list.
How do I know if the consultation is completed?
You will see a green box for successful submission.
